They are neither common or rare.Hard worked and abused trucks are the most common to buy at reasonable prices. Many owners who use them as intended(work trucks)and/or daily drivers, like to upgrade some components such as disc.brks,PS,eng.conv.,etc.but look for ideas or designs that keep it all as original looking as possible from a glance. NOS parts are becoming extinct as trucks in GOOD to EXCELLENT condition are being consumed by the growing POWER WAGON fad,collector-restorers,hobbiest,and investor. But this has had one positive result in that some reproduction pieces are being produced that were no longer availible as NOS.Restored PW's are being offered for sale by those who spent outragious amounts on restorations. If you want one in good condition, you should start looking now as they may soon go the way of the muscle cars with prices outside the range of anyone but a collector, and of course, the well used ones will begin to rust away in yards and fields while their owners imagine the rust turning to GOLD!New a PW cost about as much as a cadillac, and usually only big farms, ranchs, business,or municipalities could afford or needed them. After they were no longer even exported (in the early 70's)older used trucks became availible to the common Joe at affordable prices. In the early 80's I purchased 1-64'WM300 running beater for a mere $500,then a 64'in good condition for $1000,and 63'rolling chassis for $400 w/o body.My "good" truck is straighter than some $3500-5000 trucks I've seen on the net.The Power Wagon Advertiser started by GORDON MANEY in 84'and Vintage Power Wagon, DAVE BUTLER's annual PW rally gave exposure to the MIGHTY DODGE PW nationally, now people around the world seek out the exported models in their area.So get em while you can!RED HOTS GET YO RED HOTS NOW!
