Okay, gang --

Bad news -- I don't think you're going to want the reflectors for your WCs.

Unfortunately, they are bigger than the King Bee and Anthes units Gordon describes, so I think they must not be for the VCs/WCs. I'm starting to think they are for big commercial trucks because of their size and some of the writing on the boxes.

Here's the info on the reflectors:
They are stamped "Approved Bolser-Vitralux Type B" across the top of the flange, with the patent numbers and patents pending on the bottom of the flange.

Each one is five inches from edge to edge of the flange.
The refective area is about 3 and 7/8 inches across with 37 -- yes, 37 -- "marbles" (six of the marbles in the outer ring are halves). The marbles are each about 3/8 of an inch across.

There are 4 mounting holes in the flanges, with the holes 3 inches apart.

The boxes (which are fallng apart) say "Truck Reflector manufactured by the Bolser Corporation Cedar Falls, Iowa U.S.A." and "Approved in all states requiring truck reflectors" among other information and claims (the boxes also state "NON-RUSTING," but the metal has developed some surface rust over the decades).

I bought the seven the dealer had (my guess of a "dozen or so" was about half right, I reckon -- they're thicker than I thought). Six of them have good marbles and the seventh has damage to four of the half marbles. There are pieces of six boxes (all in varying stages of rough shape).

Any ideas what these reflectors are for? When they're from?

Gordon, I would like to see the photo of the King Bee and Anthes units for comparison. Would you mind e-mailing the photo to me at my address above (christopher_land@hotmail.com)?

Thank you to all of you who responded. Just for the record, I was not looking to get rich off these things -- I was hoping to get some needed items to the people I enjoy "listening to" on this forum. I'm truly disappointed that the reflectors aren't the correct ones for your trucks.

Regards,
Christopher Land
