Rob, Thanks for the info. I did pick up that 540 on saturday for $200. It has those ratios. All the gears engage and turn well, the only thing that concerns me is the input shaft wobbles slightly. I'm hoping you can pull the bearing retainer off and install a new one and seal, but it may be that the shaft is worn. I'm cleaning it up and I need to pull the emergency brake bracket and drum off which is tough to get the flange nut off when it is out of the truck. I assume you just get the correct yoke for your jackshaft and install. If it needs rebuilding, do you know what that costs?
