Name a tougher axle than an M37 has other than upgrading to a 2 1/2 ton truck axle

If your breaking axles, it's not the design problem, it's usually the driver.
Just like all those "Pretty" pictures in the 4x4 magazines with guys stuck in mud holes. If they knew how to drive they wouldn't be in the hole in the first place.
I'm on 20 years without an axle break,(3/4 t WC57) and I 4x4 a lot. But I don't have large rocks to attempt to crawl over either.
Stick with the original, and upgrade only if you break a part (and don't learn how to avoid repeating the same conditionss)
