Way back in 1967 (old farts remember) we belonged to ane of the premier Corvette clubs in Southern California (Clippingers in Covina). Afellow named John started showing up at the club meetings, and putting up with a lot of derisive comments about his choice of ride, a Sunbeam Tiger. He had Corvette fever, and was woking on acquiring a '65 396, but in the mean time he only had his Tiger to drive. He went along on club runs, rallys, and even slalom raced with the club. Never seemed to have any problem keeping up with the 'Vettes. He finally got his '65 and sold the Tiger, but it was a cute, and fairly fun type car to have around. Definitely a collectors item now, as are the 'Vettes of that same era; sure wish I still had mine, and John's Tiger, too.
