WHY not just sell the van and put the cash into a good or rebuilt LA318? You will save yourself a mint on aspirin! This would mean you could even put a NP420 or one of the 5spd w/od that came in the 80's Dodge PU w/318.The 71'LA318 was listed at 230hp w/only a 2bbl carb.Eldabrock makes a after market multiport fuel injection manifold,and holly makes a V-8 universal fuel injection system that would work.You will not be gaining anything except agrivation and experience in patience by trying the magnum 318 route,unless someone can make it easy by having done it before.
