Chris, good points! Since my truck came without an OEM intake (Edelbrock Performer on there now) and I'm running headers, my electronic choke works just fine. At temps well below -15° f, she always starts right up and I drive away without incident, even with an open-element air cleaner. So, I'm not entirely agreeing with the cold-start condition you're speaking of. This would, of course be true if he's running the stock intake and stock carb (designed to operate that way), but if the heat cross-over is plugged anyway (which it may) then it won't matter one way or the other. Also, who is your dealer? $250.00 for manifolds? Mine wanted darn near $700.00 each!!!!!!
