Here is a picture of my truck, this shot does not show the damage very well, it is much worse then it looks.

You are right, there is little chance of finding a good bodied TW shell where you are.

You are most likely going to need to import one from the southwest United States.

The only TW shell I know of at the moment that is any good is in Vegas, and it is just a rear shell. Plus it is not in that good a shape. There are some bad dents, and a small amount of rust around the rear wheel well.

I left this body where it was because I didn't want to deal with it. I am rebuilding a '64 PW TW and my body needs a lot of work as well, but it is all dents, very little rust.

If you are interested I could try and get some pictures of it for you, but I think that for what it is, it is not worth bringing home for you.

From time to time 2wd TWs pop up for sale as in the southwest, and the price for a whole truck is normally less then $2000. Most are around $1,000-$1,500.

If you buy a '61-'66 2wd TW and bring it home you should have all the parts you need to fix your truck, as the only difference between a 2wd and a 4wd '61-'66 TW is the drivetrain, and the crossmember for the transfercase.

Almost all of the rest of the truck is the same.

Eric
P.S. When you are looking for trucks make sure you buy a '61-'66, as the fenders are different from the earlier TWs(the wheelbase change from 108"-114"), and finding front fenders by themselves is hard to do(it took me almost a year to find a pair that was cheap, and I get them from Vegas, I am in Wisconsin).
