If you live in a really cold area, I would do both, especially if wood scraps or fire wood are easily available to you. Floor heat is really nice, especially if you deal with snow and slush on the vehicles. Just a thought: a small (30 or 40 gal.) water heater could be used for generating the heat for the slab. If you are really creative, you can build a water manifold to go inside the wood stove, and run the water through the manifold, preheating it before it goes to the main unit for the floor heat.
