If you have ripped the soul (6 Cylinder) out of your Flat Fender Power Wagon and replaced it with a v-8 or diesel then it is no longer a PW. If it has GM running gear it's no longer a PW. A little harsh but deep down you know it's true. There are precious few of these trucks left. They need to be passed on to future generations in the way they came from the factory. That being said I admire the work some of you have done with you're modifications. Some is outstanding work. I just hope that not to many trucks get modified. Imagine changing an old steam locomotive to diesel. Yeah it would still do the job but the charm is gone. Imagine covering an old wood antique with simulated wood vinyl. Ugh. It's lost it's soul.
Would love to hear Paul Cook's view on the subject.
Paul?
