I agree, Don Bunn has been wrong many times in the past, I could write a little correction sheet for most of his books.

Strangely I do not have any more info on the 10 bolt axles in a W500 at this time. I checked my service manual and dealer book for 1964, and could not find the 10 bolts listed for the W500.

On the other hand I have seen several of the 1961-71 W500s in person with the 10 bolt wheels, too many to believe it was not a factory option.

I will do some more digging, maybe it is listed somewhere else.

Remember, Don Bunn is not always right, but the factory literature is not always right either.
