...unconfirmed as of now, in fact the Dakota just got a face lift and a new 4x4 model, so I 'd say if it sells it stays, if it doesn't it will go.
The 4BT diesel is too tall, too noisy and vibrates too much for a modern diesel, and it won't pass smog.
Cummins will have a new V-6 diesel next year that will pass smog, will get better fuel economy and be much quieter than the 4BT, and if the Dakota is still around it will get one.
As for Cerberus "striking again" they will do whatever it takes to repair the damage done by Daimler, it's get lean and mean or perish.
