My friend here has a restored M2A1 white. He drives in a lot of places streets in parades etc. IT is a very quiet vehicle and does not make the clanking sound you commonly associate witha tank are exhaust note. As halftracs run on rubber tracks and tires it would seem hard for it to make enough noise to alert people. My buddies tracks are WWII vintage and pretty tired still they are quite the bren gun carrier a guy has now that thing is almost as noisy as a gamma goat.
