I bought a set of the new surplus 36 inch tall XML's for a 1964 W200 Sweptline Powerwagon. Does anybody have a current source of 12 inch lift springs and an custom adjustable drag link for these trucks???? Somebody said Skyjacker had a 8 inch sprng kit listed but so far i have struck out with the tech department there. I seem to remember a California co called allied spring or something similar that was custom making leaf springs and drag links for the taller lifted trucks like the old power wagons, has anybody any clues for me to follow up on?? i thought i was buying 9x16's and got these 11x16's instead and find out the 31 inch hole in the front fender wont even get close to accepting the tire mounted. My springs are saging anyways and I need new ones. I was quoted around $4000 for installed front and rear springs in 12 inch and an adjustable drag link, has spring steel gone up that much or is this a reasonable price??? Of course they wont tell me who is making the springs or the adjustable cutom drag link. If one bought a w300 or w400, w500 front fender how much opening would could be gained in tire opening room to clear the tall Michelems xml's??? I sure wish i had bought the 9x16's xls from Dollar Tire in canada now. Thanks for any tips or comments.
