and an electronic ignition would help. switching from a generator to an alternator and using an electric fan would help with the loss from the belt driven system. inline dodges are good little motors, but dont expect gains to cover upgrade expenses with the amount of mileage you will likely to put on it. saw an article yesterday about hybrids. they cost more and the time to recover the premium in fuel savings is measured in years (the lexus was over 100 years as the mileage compared to the non hybrid was almost identical). the best gas sippers are close to the hybrids now so using a hybrid is often just to make you feel 'green' personally, i think keeping a car in good tune and running it until its dust is better for the environment than chasing a green vehicle or churning and burning lease cars.
