Mini 14 is a fun rifle, not really suited for hunting. It's loud, heavy, and not very accurate. I have used it for coyotes at close range, and once on a bobcat. Rabbits are also afraid of this gun. I have never had one jam, and I tend to use cheap surplus ammo. Make sure to get earplugs with this one, it's not that much louder than any other gun but you tend to let loose with more rounds per second.
