The 251 and 265 were common engines in the 1 1/2 ton and 2 ton trucks in the 50s.

The later WM300s with the slant 6s were 225s I think, but I am not 100% sure.

The 25" measurement is the approximate length of the head, give or take a 1/2 inch.
