Like Manny said it looks like a 1/2 to axle(rear cover formed to fit around carrier) but it will work in a PW. Follow Rays instructions for the 1/2 ton axle mods on his page. The only thing not covered is the cover. You'll need to find an early 3/4 ton rear diff. cover(can you say hen's teeth) or make a spacer for the 1/2 ton cover that you have, thats what I did( I cut out and gound down the mounting flange off the PW axle housing I pulled out and it woked great in the trailtruck). Get some 3/4 ton axle shafts and your in buisness.

As for the brakes I can't say I'm running drums on the rear and discs on the front.

The pic is of a 1/2 ton housing with a 9&5/8 carrier and Lincon Locker installed in my trailtruck.
