Anybody else running a military sealed ignition system in a 12 volt M37? My M43's getting real hard to start as the weather gets colder, and today it wouldn't even start with ether, so I'm thinking it has a weak spark. I never heard of a 12 volt coil that fits in the military distributor assembly. Is there such a thing, or is it fair to assume that it's still the 24 volt coil, and whoever did the 12 volt conversion just saw that it would still start and run with the 24 volt coil so he left it that way? Also, is there supposed to be a ballast resistor in the 24 volt system? I don't see any in the wiring diagram in the TM, but maybe it's part of the distributor assembly somewhere?
