Actually 496ci Howard. Two different cranks available & neither require virtually any block machining.
They make a way better truck engine than a 440. A 440 is a perfect engine for high end power with it's bore to stroke ratio. The 383...when you lengthen the stroke...it becomes not ideal for high rpm but the torque produced by such a long stroke is unbeatable.
