Norm, I've just acquired a '71 D300 with a 318. It seemed to run unusually well with its history, and then a former owner said he'd had a junk yard engine swap about 4or5 years ago. 'didn't have a clue as to year and type of 318.
If I service it and with filters and oil changes as the owner's manual requires, is there any big difference to be considered if this thing was taken from a car...or anything changed on later 318s that I need to be alerted on?
