Galen, I think I can help I jusr put mine together. 1 install the winder then the guide but leave it loose. then the window. Move the guide sideways over the window then put the screws in but not tight. Engage the winder to the window frame and crank it all the way down. Now you will be able to insert the wing window. It has to rotate in on the top. After doing all of this go back and adjust and tighten every thing. I lubed mine with motorcycle chain lub and it worked good. Hope this helps. Happy Thanksgiving.
