I have had excellent experience with Firestone SteelTex tires and would strongly recommend them. I run P245 75R 16's on my '86 Ford F250 Diesel 4x4. They have a very acceptable truck tread pattern that is quiet on the road, but adequately aggressive and very good in snow. They have worn long and very evenly considering: A). I can't remember when the truck was last aligned, and B). Since there is typically a good coat of mud/caked on dried dirt on the inside of the rims, they are probably never actually in balance. I found them when I was short on cash and needed tires. They were listed in a local classified paper by a seller who had just bought a new Silverado and was replacing these brand new Firestones with larger sized Michelins. Never thought I'd be impressed with Firestones, but I'm sold on these and will look for exact replacements when needed. I still prefer Michelins on the Toyota 4-runner!
Good Luck, Bruce
