I used a product they call "waterproof backer board". It's black, 1/8" thick. Much more durable than cardboard. Then I spray glued vinyl to it. Folding the vinyl over the edges, and gluing to the back meant no sewing of 'tape' around the parts. Simple if you have the old pieces for pattern. I think Willy N had patterns for sale? Folded up paper is easier to mail than a headliner. Pics on Paul's Restoration Ally site. The two-tone green truck, beige interior, about #65?
