Kaegi: In principal, I agree with you. In my jeep, I have no problem, but with the larger vehicles, in my experience I've had several commonly recurring problems:

1. At night I've had too many people pull up alongside and yell that my tailights are burned out. I'd reply, I know, that's the way it came from the factory.
2. Because a command car is so unique, I've noticed people paying more attention to what it is than what it's doing.
3. In this day and age, I doubt if the younger generations even know what a hand signal is unless there is only one finger extended.
Those us us who were born in the last half of the last century have seen Morse Code abandoned, Western Union discontinue telegrams and hand signals no longer tested in driving tests. I guess the next thing will be that talkies will replace silent films.
