Joe it depends on the brand of door, but all pocket doors are removable with a little work.Ussualy you can remove one side of trim from the jamb and then loosen the lock nut on the assembly that hangs the door on the track, usually has wheels so the door glides easily.Some of the less expensive ones use a plastic lever that you push to lock the hanger to the door.Just push that out of the way and you drop the door down and sneak it out of the jamb, once you remove the trim,which by the way includes the three pieces of the jamb on that side.Hopefully once you take the trim off you will see how the jamb is nailed to the studs and you can pry out the trim carefully and you should be able to remove the door.
