I thought Dupont Imron was gunpowder. Anyway, the paint dealer (KC Auto Paint in Spokane) says they can mix that color up in automotive paint, but can't cross it to anything on the industrial side. I want to get it in a lusterless alkyd so the painting will be easy and cheap, even though it won't shine like a show winner. I figure that'll be pretty close to what it was originally painted with anyway. The insides of the door panels are still the original color and presumably not faded at all, so I'm going to take one down to them next week and have them match it. I've never spray-painted anything before, and they tell me the alkyd is the most fool-proof as far as sticking to bare metal, old paint, rust, primer, etc. For now, I just need some to brush onto the hard-to-get to parts of things as I assemble them.
