The flow diagram is a little misleading, not sure why they show the pressure gauge porting on the rear of the block. Your picture is the correct layout for most purolator housings....but not all. That's the mistake most easily made is which port on the filter housing is inlet and outlet. All Deluxe JC housings are plumbed reverse of the purolator in your picture.
