Cummins diesels usually go 300,000+ miles before needing an overhaul.
The new 6.7 had over 1 million test miles before it was placed into service.
These motors have been in testing since 1999, with the EPA and at the Cummins labs as Cummins strived to achieve the cleanest possible motor to meet the 2010 clean air requirements.
These motors have about half of the moving parts that the Mercedes' Bluetec diesels have.
Given all of that and Cummins' track record, I'd say this is as good as it gets. Cummins historically piggybacks the Dodge warranty with an additional 30,000 miles, so I expect that to be the case again.
