Haven't worked on this for quite a while, but thinking the problem was in trying to use a brake master for the clutch? Thing is I've been daily driving mine for 30 years so lots of parts I've gone through. Only clue: one number was superceeded for the other number, incorrectly. Whichever was superceeded for another is the correct part, but the number shown as working for both doesn't, at least on TW's. Trick is to know which became the 'universal fit' part and that will solve the riddle? This caused me a whole world of grief for a couple of years and just hate to have someone else fall in that pit...
