I just went through this in relocating my tank to the back. The guy at Autozone tried telling me that radiator hose would work fine. The auto parts stores around here had a very limited selection of sizes.
I ended up going on the Gates web site and found a local distributor who set me up with the right size and adapters since the tank and the fill pipe were different sizes. Many local hose shops won't touch fuel fill hose because of liability issues.
This stuff is expensive at around $20 per foot.
