I had the same problem with my m37 there is a return hole in the master cylinder that lets the brake fluid back in to the reservoir if there is not enough free play in the push rod the piston will not let the fluid return my brakes were ok when cold but when they got hot they would start dragging I tried to adjust the shoes but it did not help then I added more free play in the push rod I was good to go
