Thanks. It really caught me by surprise for the most part. I knew about ESPN and 4 Wheel mag before I left home. Greg Fuchs offered that to me in Reno but I did not say anything until it happened.

Greg called me yesterday and told me he had talked to the judges after the they looked at my truck. They had some very positive comments on it. It was the oldest truck there and they were really pleased that everything worked including the winch. They were quite surprised that I ran it on the road let alone take it off road.

Many people stopped by to talk to me. No one believed that it went off road until I showed them the pictures. I spent a lot of time talking to people. Most commented that they never see trucks that old at all. When they saw the pictures I had from Hollister CA with 50+ trucks lined up several people just about peed their pants. They could not believe the number of trucks and how good of shape that they were in.

I just wish I could have gotten $.50 for every picture that was take by the crowd there. I could have paid my fuel bill to get there and back. 5,000 miles at 9.7 MPG adds up. They joked when they gave me the long distance award that they should have had a gas card ready for me. Yesterday and today we hit 30+ MPH head and side winds. Obvious fuel mileage has tanked. We got 9.9 MPG getting to Indianapolis and a heck of a lot less heading home so far. I need to find a semi to tuck myself behind today.

I am still in a daze over this last weekend. I never thought that GrnMch was that good. I have been invited back next year. We will see what happens.
