I have been collecting radio parts since 2001, and I finally got at least 2 examples of every antenna part in good condition. That way I could be sure I was making things right. I also contacted everyone I could that said they had a factory antenna and at least got pictures and measurements of theirs to compare to what I had.
Once I felt confident that what I had was correct then I had to have them made, which has been a long and expensive process. All of the parts had to be made from scratch, since there was nothing else out there like them, even the whip itself is a non standard diameter.
I hope these help people complete their restorations, and convince more people to put radios in their trucks. I think the Model 700 Radio is a neat option!
