That is an easy mistake to make. Very few differences, the main ones being the grille and hood to match. '68 is a one year only hood which is the same style as the '67 and earlier. The bottom edge is straight across to match the '68-'69 grille.
Mine is also an original BB which I had the honor of doing most of the breakin. Still can't believe Dad let a 19 year old hot rodder do that.
