There are basic tests that you need to do to guide us as we help you.

Use a digital volt meter, available at Radio Shack. (under $25)

1. Measure battery voltage with engine off.

2. Measure battery voltage with engine running.

Tell us the results of these two tests, and we will go from there. Please be aware that removing the battery terminal wires while the engine is running will permanently ruin an alternator.
