Does anybody know what happens to rust when it is heated? Ive heard that rust is eight times as big as the iron that rusted. I notice that when heated, the rust just turns to powder, and things are loose. I'm wondering if FeO4 turns into FeO2 , that takes up less space? er sumpthin...
