If it is worth fixing, it is worth fixing. If it is a piece of crap, it is a piece of crap. It doesn't matter where it was made... 10 years ago the country was an indication of quality. Now, it is not..
There are crappy products built in the US and Japan and great products coming from Korea, China and Indonesia. Now, where you choose to buy from is your choice. Seeing as you already own it, it is a little late for that.
