If you click on the broken image symbol that I see since I use Firefox (IE shows a red X) with the right mouse button one of the choices is "show image". This will take you to the URL of the image, and just the image by itself if there was a valid link. With an invalid link you are still taken to the URL provided, and if that URL is a page that works, you get to see the whole page, and the image. Then I can click on that image, and choose "show image". Now I have the corrected URL if I am lucky, and it will display correctly.
This can be done in IE, but it is a big pain.
Fist there is no "show image" in IE that I know of, you have to right click and go to "properties". Then you have to copy the Address or URL shown, close the properties window, and paste what you copied into your browser location window, and hope you got all the lines of the URL, as it is often on 2-3 lines, and one copy will not cut it. Then you will see the image if you are lucky, and you have to repeat the earlier move to get the URL of the image, and then you can paste that URL into the Image Link box on the forum........
In other words, Use Firefox!
It is not that hard once you do it a few times, and it allows me to fix broken images for people.
