Talk to a Dodge Rep. that I met over the week-end. He is the one that told me that they were coming out with the Power Wagon in Mexico First! They do not have the strict EPA Emissions Requirements that we have here. The new Diesel also has to finish being certified by the EPA before it can be offered for sale in the USA. The EPA is cracking down on Sulphur Emissions from Diesel Engines, and it is going to be harder for Diesel Engine producers to have there engines certifed as they have to meet the new regulations. I personally think that it is about time they cleaned them up as there are too many Diesels dumping Particulates into the air that we breathe! Anyway, I understood him to say that it was being offered down there but it may not be official yet or, he has jumped the gun and made an over zealous statement. It is however, not unusual for the Big 3 to offer new design vehicles in Mexico before they hit the Good Ole U.S. of A.!!!
