The flat fendered Power Wagons had a 420 syncro, and non sychro like yours. Synchro came in 1955.

The 745 3 speed column shift D100, D200, W100, W200
The 435 4 - speed D300, D400, D500 D600, W300, W500
The 435D
The New Process (NP) 540 & 541 are 5-speed transmissions that came with some of the larger Dodge trucks D400 on up. And there is a version of this 5 speed that comes with 5th gear overdrive.

I'm starting to play with another truck, a '62 Town Wagon, that I think I'd like to put a 5-speed in, so I'm hunting around. The TW is without engine, transmission and transfer case, and I haven't decided what to put in.
