Not sure what your working on, but if a PW, check the following:
1. Snug distributor fit in block.
2. Shaft bearing wear. Try to wiggle the shaft side to side. If there is a noticable amount, then your bearings are worn and may be allowing oil to work up and leak out down the housing.
3. Check to ensure the engine ventillation system is working properly, no pluged holes allowing the crank case to build up pressure.
