a 1954 Dodge Job Rated C1-B8. That was an unbelievable truck!!! All orig, one owner. Bought it from the farmer who bought it new. Had 261 OHV V8 (scalloped valve covers); oil bath air filter; 3sp on column; 6V pos ground; and two 'gull wings' on hood which opened out. Incredible underhood access! Always started, always ran, everything worked, great condition, 7 1/2 foot bed.

Truck had dual points. From Hemmings I bought an orig factory svc manual (about $100). Then found my engine not in it. Had to buy a factory supplement manual (orig, not copy, $75) which covered my engine.

Took a while but my research found that my engine was orig to the truck. Also found that what one owner calls a 1954, may actually have been a 1955. Something to do with when new model years released. Don't remember exactly.

You've got a great truck. The 50's Dodge trucks ruled. I regret the day I sold mine, 4 years ago.

I paid $700 for it. Never find another one like that at that price.
