you won't need to use the clutch at all !
the point of haveing a clutch is to match engine speed to
transmission speed, when you can judge how much throttle to use:
to up shift
1- ease up on the gas
2- pull gearshift to neutral
3-allow engine to slow down - just enough
4-slip it into the next higher gear
to downshift
same except 3-rev up engine- just enough
Once you get this good- even if you never actually do it,
YOU'LL NEVER WEAR OUT A CLUTCH
mine last 100,000 miles (i wore through a pivot point
on a three finger pressure plate, the disc lasted so long
have fun,chris

p.s. think this is tough ? the BIG old trucks used
TWO crash boxes, one behind the other- miss a shift on a hill
and you stopped and started over in granny-remember how
slow trucks went in the 50's?
