Hi Jonas...You probably have a factory option like my 67 W200
camper special had. What you need is a set of blocking diodes
that split the two batteries and feed the charge
line from the alternator. and then the cabling goes
across the core support (behind grill to connect the batteries
the drivers side battery stays hooked up as normal, the psgr side is only used
as supplimental power directly to the camper
via an in line circuit breaker.
Anyway, I removed mine over 15 years ago, due to
failure of diodes and a shorting wiring harness.
You can get the diode assy at any larger RV supply
it will come with hook up instructions. By the way
I havent seen a registration for the Idaho Trail Ride yet???
