I have something similar on my Graymills parts washer. Has a 1/2 inch pipe thread inlet and outlet and the cleaning fluid is filtered through the wire screen. It is the same size as a 2 quart oil filter assembly on my PW. Maybe someone switched , or put one of these on your truck for ease of maintenance.
