Nothing is going to get torched.

My truck is a '50 B2. However, the trucks were built essentially unchanged until '68.

But, the late changes were a slant 6 and a synchronized gearbox.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that Dodge would have been using the same powerplant in both trucks since they were being built at the same time?

Ditto for the late tranny?

Anyway that was my line of thinking.

I really like the big beast, I'm just not a body work guy and it has lots of rust.

I have no plans on sending it to the crusher. I know a couple of body guys and am planning on having them give me estimates on fixing the rough spots. If I can swing it, I'll fix it.

If not, I'll offer it up for sale to someone who can...

Since these came with both the poly motor and the slant 6, I thought that I'd look for a poly motor to drop back in it. If it ended up going to somebody else, then it would be up to them how they wanted to power it.

Sorry buddy, I don't do abortions but I do want to use my '50 as my daily driver....

Thanks for the comments!

:-)
