Heating the ring gear will expand it, allowing it to be easily driven off. Heat the new one to reinstall. Make sure you get it on the right direction, if the teeth have bevels on the one end.

You can also heat it up and rotate it 1/6 of a turn, to get new teeth where they are needed to handle the force of compression. Good idea if the teeth are not totally gone, just worn, at time of clutch replacement.
