identifying an old Dodge

Greetings,

I located this truck. It runs and moves. It was used to plow snow as recently as last winter.

It appears to be a 1940, maybe military, the motor had the # D24-358306 cast into it - but there were no serial plates to be found.

It seems like it'd make a good project. Any help on ID'ing it? You can view my pix on line.
