I think I finally found a decent rotating crane...had my fill of stick booms, A-frames, and gin-poles: it's on a '70s truck and orange, but it looks to be a '40s vintage and there's OD under the orange. Might weigh (just the crane and cable) around 5,000 lbs? Maybe more?
Has a rotating turret and extending boom...scale says max lift at 10' is 3500 lbs. Two shaft-driven winches, one for the load and one for the boom angle, hand winch cranks the boom length out.
Googling didn't turn up any pics but says Trackson was a popular cralwer-mounted crane and Cat bought Trackson in '51. Only other reference was for marine use, again no pics.
Anybody have one or familiar with these?
